​April 2009 – The 20th Annual Excellence in Remodeling Awards presented Urban Building Group with three awards at the annual dinner sponsored by the Home Builders of Charlotte’s Remodeling Council. These awards recognize excellence in design of the renovation work, as well as craftsmanship and innovation.

 

​Certified Green Professional

March 2009 – John Morgan, president of Urban Building Group, has earned his Certified Green Designation. This qualifies UBG to provide professional strategies for incorporating green building principles into every project. ​

 

Contractor of the year​

November 2008 - Urban Building, a design build specialist, entered twelve design build projects in the Charlotte Coty Awards sponsored by NARI. The company received awards for eleven of these entries, including a prestigious first place for a residential exterior renovation over $100,000.00.
